PRX-T33 has a unique effect on the skin where it causes tightening, rejuvenation, and evens skin tones, all in one simple, painless procedure. PRX-T33 also helps to reduce the appearance of scars, acne, stretch marks, and melasma, as well as slowing down the process of dermal ageing.
Unlike many aesthetic procedures, PRX-T33 can be carried out on those with darker skin, without the risk of hyperpigmentation. The degree of skin pigmentation is measured by the Fitzpatrick Scale, which ranges from 1 to 6. Those with pale skin, blue eyes, blond hair, and burn easily are Fitzpatrick 1, whereas olive-skinned individuals with brown eyes, dark hair, and rarely burn score 6. PRX-T33 is suitable for all Fitzpatrick skin types.
Aesthetic procedures such as peels, remove the layer of dead skin cells on the surface, as these contain melanin, there is a risk of photosensitivity as the skin offers less protection against UV light. Hence some procedures are not advised in the summer months. PRX-T33 can be carried out all year round!
What to Expect:
During the procedure: Firstly, your practitioner will remove any makeup, and cleanse your skin. On your first appointment, the procedure will begin with a Dermaplane facial, removing any vellus hair and dead skin cells from the surface. This allows the active products of PRX-T33 to penetrate further, and less absorption by dead cells which would reduce the efficacy of PRX-T33. The face is divided into zones to include the forehead, cheeks, Crow’s Feet, nose, upper lip, jaw line, and chin. Specific amounts of PRX-T33 are applied as drops to each area and then pressed in with firm pressure to allow PRX-T33 to enter the skin. You will feel a tingling sensation as PRX-T33 is applied but this will subside by the time the next zone is treated.
Finally, your skin is treated with a Facial Hydrating Creme to replace the hydrolipidic film of the skin’s acid mantle, an important barrier function of your skin that helps to protect it from infection by pathogens.
Immediately after the procedure: Your skin may be slightly red for a short time after the procedure, and it will feel tight. There will be no peeling. You can apply makeup immediately if required.
